Turbine island for North America's first SMR
Ontario Power Generation is building the first SMR unit in North America at Darlington in Canada, utilizing GE Vernova Hitachi Nuclear Energy's BWRX-300 reactor.
Arabelle Solutions will supply the steam turbine, air-cooled generator, and heat exchanger for the the Darlington SMR turbine island.
The turbine will have an output of 300 MWe, generating reliable electricity for approximately 300,000 homes per unit.
